During my recent transit in Alvor, I had the pleasure of staying at Navy Apartment. One of the best features of this accommodation is its strategic location. The nearest airport is just 75 km away, making it incredibly convenient for travelers like me who are constantly on the move. the apartment is also just 5 km from Portimao, allowing easy access to the city's attractions and amenities.

Although the Navy Apartment offered a comfortable stay overall, one minor drawback was the size of the balcony. While it was functional and suitable for two people, it was a bit smaller than expected.

I absolutely loved the cozy and inviting decor of the apartment! The soft colors and comfortable furniture made me feel right at home. The general areas of the hotel were also well-maintained, making it easy for me to navigate around. As a senior, I appreciate that the hotel had good accessibility with no stairs, allowing me to move around freely and without any difficulty.

The only thing that would have made my vacation even better as a senior would be if there were handrails in the bathroom to assist with stability. It would have provided added support and reassurance, especially when using the shower or toilet.

The apartment's location is ideal, being centrally located near shops, restaurants, and a supermarket. It is just a short walk to both the beach and a nature reserve, providing plenty of outdoor activities. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of towels and blankets available.

The balcony is small and may not be suitable for lounging in the sun.

The hotel's decoration is tasteful and elegant, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The general areas are well-maintained, providing a pleasant space to relax and socialize. The hotel's accessibility for senior people is commendable, with ramps and spacious elevators making it easy to get around.

Perhaps it would have been nice to have a dedicated senior activities coordinator to organize outings and events tailored to our needs. The children working there did their best, but specialized attention for senior guests would have made the vacation even more enjoyable.

I got great value for my money at the Navy Apartment in Alvor. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the city center, shops, restaurants, and even a supermarket just around the corner. The staff were friendly and communication with the owners was excellent.

Breakfast choices could be more varied for a better experience.

I had a fantastic stay at this apartment. The location was perfect, as it was not in the main tourist area but still within a short distance to the pedestrian area and city center. I loved that the supermarket was just around the corner, making it convenient to stock up on supplies. The apartment itself was nice and spacious, with a great balcony that got plenty of sun throughout the day. The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, plates, and cups, making cooking and dining easy. The friendly check-in process and the abundance of towels and blankets were also a plus. Additionally, the location was ideal for accessing the beach and nature reserve, both of which were only a short walk away.

Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes.
